Pet Massage Therapy

Special Pets Deserve a Special Touch

Each massage therapy patient will start with an Initial Assessment with Certified Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician Emily Farrar. The assessment will include time to get to know the patient to allow them to relax and get used to touch. Emily will take a full history and ask the owner what types of activities the patient does in their day-to-day life. She will then perform an assessment of all joints and range of motion as well as potential muscle stiffness and discomfort. After their massage, which may include the use of heat or cold therapy, each patient will go home with full home care instructions to enhance their response to therapy. Emily will discuss with each client how often their pet should be coming for massage therapy and how to get the most out of each session. Treats and cuddles are included!
