Dr. Stephen McCorry was born in Northern Ireland, close to Belfast. He grew up on a cattle farm and was very involved in the farm throughout his childhood. He studied Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh, Scotland and graduated in 2022. In 2023 Stephen moved to Ontario and joined our team at Barrie Animal Hospital!
Growing up on a farm started Stephen’s interest in working with animals. He had many pets growing up but his favourite animals are dogs! Stephen has 4 dogs back home in Ireland and hopes to add a canine companion to his life here in Ontario soon.
Stephen’s favourite part of Veterinary Medicine is connecting with clients and learning more about them and their pets. He enjoys working with clients to achieve the best possible outcomes for their beloved family members. Stephen also has a special interest in Internal Medicine.
Outside of work, you’re likely to find Stephen doing most anything active and outdoors. He’s currently training for a triathlon!
