We believe that the client experience starts at reception-and we’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Purpose of the Role
To deliver an exceptional client and patient experience by being the welcoming, knowledgeable, and organized face of the clinic-while supporting clinical workflow and team communication at the highest level.

Objective
To ensure every client interaction-whether in person, by phone, or online-reflects the professionalism, compassion, and efficiency that define our practice and support AAHA standards.

Who You Are
You’re not just answering phones or booking appointments -you’re owning the reception space and setting the tone for everything that follows. Our ideal candidate is:

  • Passionate about client care – You genuinely enjoy connecting with people and making their visit stress-free and positive.
  • Veterinary-experienced – You bring at least 1 year of experience in a veterinary or medical front desk environment.
  • Detail-driven – You thrive on organization, multitasking, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Team-oriented – You love working in a collaborative setting and supporting your colleagues.
  • A strong communicator – Your verbal and written skills ensure clarity and confidence with clients and teammates alike.
  • Professional under pressure – You stay calm, kind, and focused during busy times and emotional conversations.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and appointment requests promptly and knowledgeably
  • Manage scheduling and reminders to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times
  • Handle financial transactions with accuracy and discretion
  • Support client education by reinforcing veterinary recommendations and services
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area in line with AAHA standards
  • Collaborate with veterinary assistants, technicians, and doctors to ensure seamless care

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Veterinary Receptionist or Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
    • Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Some weekends required
  • 4-day work week for full-time staff
